Baltimore, MD
For those not familiar with Mount Vernon, the condo could not be better located! It is located centrally within a short walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacies, and more. If you're driving you'll enjoy easy access to all major highways and if you're taking a train or bus from Penn Station you can get to the condo in approximately 15-20 minutes walking. It's even accessible to the Inner Harbor if you don't mind a bit of a walk down North Charles St. This condo would also be perfect for people visiting Hopkins as you are about a block away from the Homewood -Peabody-JHMI shuttle stops in Mount Vernon.

The transportation is very convenient. You can walk to the harbor in twenty minutes and see the scenery. Nearby shopping is also convenient. The apartment is clean and tidy. WIFI is very good. All kinds of supplies are very complete, kitchen equipment easy to use, variety of tableware. The landlord replied quickly.
An amazing space, even in the time of Covid-19. So close to good food, entertainment, and any necessities that one might need. The landlord has been amazing in responding quickly and fully to any questions or requests, and the building has provided everything I've needed for an extended stay, including the ability to do laundry and receive mail and deliveries. I can't recommend it more highly.
Gosh, where to start? I've been renting with Mt Vernon Flats since last summer. They're hands down the most kind and accommodating landlords I've ever had. I probably asked a thousand questions before moving in and was met with quick responses each time. After moving in, both small and large requests were promptly handled and I was communicated with every step of the way. This was truly a wonderful place to call home for a year. HIGHLY recommend you rent here if you find an apartment that catches your eye!!
Charming adorable accommodations in one of my favorite neighborhoods of Baltimore. The management are super responsive yet tactful. Great neighbors and awesome amenities, but best of all the neighborhood. Literally steps away from lightrail line, walking distance to the Inner Harbour and many many of my fave restaurants and watering holes. This place is an amazing well kept historical building with radiator heat and solid wood floors. This is like living inside Victorian age. I absolutely love it.
I moved to Baltimore for a new job and needed a "long term" short-term rental while I was getting to know the city. I could not be happier with finding Mt Vernon Flats. The 1-bedroom apartment I moved into was in a great area (the heart of Mt Vernon), newly renovated, and fully furnished. All of the appliances looked out-of-the-box new and worked perfectly. The customer service was amazing, they were super accommodating and any minor issues (wifi) I had while living here were resolved immediately. I cannot recommend Mt Vernon F
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in one of the Mount Vernon Flats' historic buildings on Park Ave for 3 months this fall and we absolutely loved our time there. The location was fabulous, right across was the Mount Vernon Marketplace and Ceremony Coffee which we frequented often. Many museums and cultural institutions are in close walking distance, which we took full advantage of as well as Charles Street with great shops and restaurants. The Washington Monument is also very close by with 4 parks surrounding the monument- our dog loved this plentiful outdoor space, as did we. They proved to be a really nice aspect of the neighborhood not just for well-kept green space but also hosted concerts with Peabody Conservatory students and outdoor movie screenings. We really enjoyed all aspects of the 513 Park Avenue living experience. Our apartment was fully furnished and appointed for our 3 month stay and the complimentary parking space in the back was a true gem. The neighbors were all friendly and very respectful. The landlords and all of the staff were wonderful. They were so accommodating and responsive; anything we ever needed they handled quickly and took care of for us. I highly recommend working with the team at Mount Vernon Flats, I know we absolutely will again if we return to Baltimore!
I always felt respected and cared for, from the time Max meet me to show the apartment to the point where I got my security deposit back. No problem whatsoever, just a beautiful view and lots of privacy and quiet! Mount Vernon is a beautiful area with many options for eating well.
I appreciated having a clear expectation before coming from Canada. The photos and videos very accurate of my apartment and Baltimore Area. Easy walk to Peabody Music! neighborhood is beautiful and I will forever remember my time in Mount Vernon Baltimore!!
I rented for convenience to Location for combination exchange with Hopkins and UB, but to be honest I was surprised by how beautiful the area is and I walked everywhere and still have beautiful photographs on my wall in Vienna from my time in Baltimore. Roman was a great landlord, always friendly with a smile quick to respond and very professional. The building quiet and other uni neighbors! Good. Recommend Mt Vernon Flats!
Found these guys on Craigslist when moving there for my Doctor of Musical Arts program. Didn't know what to expect, read scary things online. Had my fair share of adventures in Baltimore, but overall had a great time and really enjoyed my apartment right across the street from peabody. No issues to report, everything worked fine, happy to recommend Mt Vernon Flats to others.
Max showed me an apartment here a few years ago, I did not rent it, but I regret it. These guys were friend, processional, and personable. The flats are big and in great locations around Mount Vernon. I decided to move across the street to 511 Park Ave. They had a great move in special, but 2 years later they have jacked up my rent so much, I am thinking of moving again. Hopefully Mt Vernon Flats will have an apartment for me in March ;)
In 2016 I rented a studio apartment across from the Mt Vernon Marketplace. At first dealing with the construction across the street was rough, but I was told about it and offered a discount before moving it. The apartment itself was really lovely and I had no issues whatsoever for 3 years living there. Communication from Mt Vernon Flats was always timely and professional. Once Mt Vernon Marketplace opened up, the noise and shaking were well worth it. I also love ceremony coffee roasters across the street. The landlord never raised my rent in 3 years and now it is a great deal - across the street rent is double, and while they have a pool, gym, and doorman, I get all that with amazon locker and downtown athletic club for an extra $120 a month. All my neighbors are lovely people, I think the landlords do a good job creating a sense of community.
These are terrible people. First of all, I see the walk score for the area is "99". That's only the case if you don't mind being mugged or attacked by heroine junkies. There are shootings, stabbings, burglaries, car jackings and more in this area. For Christ sake, a woman recently ran down the street setting cars on fire. There are several homeless shelters in the area and the outside of building always reeks of urine. Anyway, when I first contacted them about the apartment, it was listed at $1650. I negotiated them down to $1525. The landlord made a big stink, which might be understandable...until you realize he is now asking for $1450 (I'm moving out because they're an intolerable group). Not only that, but in the winter, NOTHING WORKS. My apartment was 50 degrees all winter AND my electricity bills were between $300-$400 PER MONTH from November - February. Furthermore, there was a crack in my window that didn't get fixed for over a year. When I moved in, the landlord said he'd have it fixed in a few weeks. Fast forward to when I'm finally moving out because I've had enough of them, and VOILA he got it fixed. Lastly, he never renewed my lease. He said "a confirmation via text is a binding as a lease to him", which has enabled him to rip me off entirely. He wouldn't prorate my rent for my last month there (I'm moving out the 13th), but he said he might reimburse me should someone else move in. All this and he acts like every little thing he does is a favor to you even though, all in all, if you calculate the amount extra I've spent in the year in rent (the delta between what he charged me and what he's not asking for) and the obscene electric bills for a 900 square foot apartment, it comes out to $2757 PLUS a $1650 security deposit, so $4375. Absolute, complete crooks. Don't move into one of their properties unless you're cool with being ripped off and living in a complete dumpster area. The landlord is Roman Meytin.

Wonderful experience with these Mount Vernon Apartments in Baltimore! Truly a memorable and unique home in the best part of historical Baltimore, Md. Easy walk to UNiversity of Maryland classes. I loved my apartment and stayed here for almost 6 years. Friendly landlords with caring service.
Working for company with offices in Baltimore and Washington, DC. Mt Vernon Flat central location made it easy to walk downtown to inner harbor or to the Penn Station was a quick MARC train ride to Washinton, DC. Great service from the landlords! Loved every month of it.
Came to Baltimore to work as a temp at Mercy Hospital. I had concerns about safety and security due to things I have read on the news and social media. The hospital is located in Mount Vernon which also seemed to have a reputation as a safe neighborhood. Finding Mt Vernon Flats was a blessing - I had often walked to and from work at night, even though there is definitely all kinds of characters and homeless people out on the street, I never had any problems or felt unsafe. I liked my month-to-month furnished rental and I had great service from owners of Mt Vernon Flats. Now I have a permanent position at Hopkins and I signed a year lease for an apartment next door. Also very convenient for Hopkins Shuttle stop. I recommend them , 10/10!
Came to Baltimore as medical resident at Johns Hopkins. Was quickly told to not live near JH medical. Researched good neighborhoods and decided to live in Mount Vernom. I am a city person and I liked having easy access to services. Found mount Vernon flats through great reviews online and never looked back. They tested me like family and always made sure i was satisfied. Quiet, safe building, great neighbors - all Hopkins, Peabody, or MICA affiliated. Would recommend to anyway looking to save money but not compromise living experience.
Great furnished rental experimece for 6 months in Baltimore. Quick walk to Peabody Institute Of The Johns Hopkins University - Conservatory in Baltimore. Easy understand and friendly experience for me and colleague from China. I like!
A super well maintained historical home with modern upgrades and charm factor through the roof. Dead center of the Mount Vernon area. Super easy walk to UB and everywhere else in the city. Great neighbors and the best landlords I ever had!!!
1 whole year in a fully furnished apartment in best part of Mount Vernon, blazing fast WiFi everyday and fast shuttle rides to Bloomberg school of public health. Sweet setup for a worry free Baltimore stay and a year at Hopkins.
I lived here for 5 years while getting my PHd. In that time the neighborhood has improved a lot. Much safer, many more coffee shops, restaraunt, and other hangouts. Despite that and increasing rent prices the landlords kept my rent reasonable the whole time. Increases were rear and need more than 3%. They also did a lot of work to improve the building and common areas. It's a small building with only 4 apartments. I really liked my neighbors they were friendly and cool. Mostly other students or medical professionals.
